John Adams was born in Eastover, South Carolina to the late Tally and Lucille Herbert Adams on June 10, 1940. He was the youngest out of thirteen children. He was loving and devoted husband and father. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, where he met Jacquelyn Adams and eventually married her on January 8, 1962 (59 years of marriage). Soon after, they started a brand new life on their own and relocated to California, where they had two sons, Lance Adams and Brandt Adams. He worked in the Aerospace industry for thirty years and retired from Boeing/Rockwell in June 2004. He enjoyed listening and attending smooth jazz concerts and traveling. His last two trips included a visit to Cuba and South Africa. He joined Christ Our Redeemer Church in January 2001 and was an active and faithful servant of the Usher Board and Steward Board, as well as coordinating the Men’s Monthly Breakfast Meetings. He was a kind, gentle, loving and motivational man to both his family and friends and he will be truly missed. Left behind to cherish his memories is his loving and dedicated wife, Jacquelyn Adams; sons Lance Adams and Brandt Adams; his sister Essie Brooks and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
