Lloyd Singh Chona

January 16, 1965 - April 30, 2022

Lloyd Chona (57) was born on January 16, 1965 in Saskatchewan, Canada to the late Mr. Harbans S. Chona and Mrs. Narinder Kaur Chona. He is the youngest of his two loving brothers, Paul and Roger Chona. From Saskatchewan, Lloyd moved to Oregon in 1966. He later graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Minor in finance and then moved to Southern California. On July 11,1993, he married Priya Chona and settled in Irvine. They completed their MBAs at USC together before having kids. He was a dedicated and inspirational father who guided his sons in both sports and education. From this love, his sons, Ashwin (21) and Arvin Chona (16), have become exceptional baseball pitchers at NYU and Sage Hill High School, respectively. Lloyd loved watching movies and engaging in lengthy discussions about sports with his sons, brothers and friends. He was a die-hard fan of the USC Trojan Football team. Fight ON! He often enjoyed sipping on a Heineken beer or fine wine. Lloyd was a very humble and genuine person who developed and nurtured relationships and friendships throughout every facet of his life. Lloyd was an amazing husband, incredible father, loving son, spirited brother and the best of friends. He is survived by his wife Priya Chona, children Ashwin and Arvin Chona, mother Narinder Kaur Chona and brothers Paul and Roger Chona. Our memories of Lloyd will forever warm our hearts.
