Rosita Maria Hedberg, was born March 5, 1946 to Vincent Cardona and Ulla Fredholm in Fslkoping Sweden. She departed this earthly life on February 11th 2022. Rosita grew up in Stockholm Sweden but had big dreams of life in America. In 1969 she sold her VW bug, hugged her mother goodbye and told her she would be back in a year and headed to Beverly Hills California. Rosita worked as a head house keeper and cook for the actor Kevin McCarthy, she enjoyed catering parties for the Hollywood elite. The lights of New York City were calling Rosita and she was asked to move to NYC with the McCarthy family. There she lived on 5th Avenue and enjoyed iceskating in Central Park. Rosita missed sunny California so in 1971 she headed back. She loved working in the hospitality field and even owned a catering business with a friend in Palm Springs, they catered fabulous events all over the desert. In 1972 Rosita met the love of her life Mats Hedberg in Palm Springs. She told her friends she didn’t come all the way to the United Stated to meet another Swede but she couldn’t resist Mats's charm and smile. They returned to Sweden and got married then headed back to settle down and make a life together in the Palm Springs area. Rosita and Mats owned Hedberg’s Classic Cars and enjoyed many visitors and friends who came yearly to visit and buy classic cars from them. Rosita and Mats most of all loved spending time with there children and Grandchildren. Son Mark, Daughter in-law Katrina and Grandchildren Jonas, Violet and Steele of Palm Desert, Daughter Sarah & Son in-law Steven Bryant, and Grandchildren Madelyn, Mallory, Jett and Jake of Dana Point. Rosita will be remembered for her love of sewing, baking and her unwavering caring and love as a wife, mother and Grandmother.
