Obituary

Aaron Michael Brown passed away on September 11, 2022 at the home he shared with his mother, in Aliso Viejo, Orange County, CA.

Aaron came into this world, a happy, blonde towhead, to Dominique Brown and Randal Landon on November 06, 1988.  From that moment he was the light of his mother's life, until the day he left us.

He grew up in the Monarch Bay Area, surrounded with the love of the Brown family, and side by side with his cousins Sydney, Sean, Justin, Josh, Gina and Krista. He was a beach kid for sure and lucky to grow up close to the sun and surf he loved so much. According to his mom he owned every board imaginable including boogie board, surfboard, body board and skateboard. So many in fact, that she had to buy a truck to fit it all.

Aaron graduated from Dana Hills high school, where he met some of his closest friends. After high school he headed to Washington to further his studies at The Art Institute of Seattle earning his degree in Sound Engineering

After earning his degree, Aaron decided to make Seattle his home, landing himself a job at ABC affiliate, KOMO-TV. He worked at KOMO-TV for 7 years and loved his job and the people with whom he worked and met and was proud to have worked there.

If you knew Aaron you also knew that he was a diehard music lover. He loved his indie bands and loved his concerts. He would travel to LA, Long Beach, Costa Mesa and places in between to hear his favorite bands. Then he'd write a heartfelt review of the bands he saw, in his notebooks and on Facebook. In the days before he passed, Aaron was excitingly preparing to head to Lake Perris for the Desert Daze festival.

Aaron was also passionate about the things and people he cared about, hated injustice and was a fierce defender of the underdog. He never went with the flow just because it was the norm. Aaron was kind, thoughtful, loving, compassionate and a good friend. He loved his mother fiercely. He would reach out to family and friends alike to tell them he or "we", as he often said, were thinking of them.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dominique Brown, father Randal Landon (Sue), his aunts Denise Brown (Gianpaolo Casula), Tanya Brown; his cousins, Sydney, Sean, Justin, Josh, Gina, Krista and many, many friends and Petey the bird.

Aaron was predeceased by his grandmother, Juditha "Dita" Brown, his grandfather, Lou "Opa" Brown, his aunt Nicole Brown and uncle Rolf Baur.

Visitation will be held at McCormick's Mortuary, in Laguna Hills, on September 21, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm. A celebration of life will be held for Aaron on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Salt Creek Beach Park from 2 pm to 4 pm.
