Ada Ramsey Mitchell Hatcher aka "Granny" passed at age 100, peacefully at her home in Huntington Beach, California on February 10, 2023. Born to John and Gertrude Mitchell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was one of six children – 3 boys, 3 girls (predeceased by her 5 siblings).

She met and married Johnie F. Hatcher in Norfolk, Virginia, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. After years of moving during his deployments they settled in Long Beach, California and raised three children: Johnie Jr., Carol (spouse Bob) and Lora (spouse Ron).

One of the greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amy, Amanda, Abigail, Angelique, Brooke and Mitchell. After years of baking Christmas cookies, feeding the ducks at El Dorado Park, camping trips, and family dinners, she was blessed with great-grandchildren: Madison, Savannah, Cole, Taylor, Valentina, Troy, Grayson, Olivia, Jayce (step), and Bodhi.

Granny's memory will always be carried in our hearts. She will be missed forever!
