Adrianus M. van Doleweerd began his life on October 9, 1928 in his adored Holland and passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 15, 2017 in California where he spent most of his favorite years.

He most enjoyed being the life of the party, tickling the keyboards of organs and pianos, musically moving his feet across the dance floor and crooning his favorite Dutch melodies. Entertainment always escorted him. Even at the last celebration festivity he would attend, 88 years did not stop him from raising a pint and moving rhythmically on the dance floor to the tunes of the 70's.

Although long passed, he always fondly remembered his Father and Mother. Jan and Geradina. He survived all his beloved siblings; Dina, Jo and Rinus. From above, he is now watching over his wife of 54 years ad best friend Toosje, his loving sons John ("Pietje") and Marcel ("de Kleinne"), their beautiful wives Libby and Jacquie, and his greatest joys, his grandchildren Taylor, Meghen, Janelle and Anthony.

Never short on words and with his distinctive rumbling voice he shared his pride and love for his wife, sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren with all the doctors and nurses during his final days. None were left with any doubt of how much he cherished and loved his family; and none may doubt how much his family loved him.

A memorial of his life will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM at McCormick & Son Mortuary located at 25002 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills. He will find harmony and peace at Ascension Cemetery located at 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest. A celebration of his life will follow at his house.
