Obituary

Angela Joanna Abbondondola, born August 13, 1931 passed away March 18, 2017 at the age of 85. She died at home, surrounded by her loving children, Joanne, Roseanne, and Carmen. Angela goes to join her beloved husband Carmine; her forever cherished children Joseph and Marianne; and her father and mother, Frank Mazzaro and Loretta Di Bona. Angela was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, Marianne, Michael, Roxanne, Kyle, and Matthew and 1 great grandchild, Emma.

Angela was born in Boston, MA one of nine siblings Her siblings are Frankie, Alfred, Danny, Carmine, Anthony, Lucy, Tina, and Sonny. Angela's nickname, "Lily" was given to her by her mother as this was one of her mom's favorite heroines in a romance novel. Carmine always referred to her as 'Lil' all their days together. Angela selflessly and unconditionally devoted her life to being a wife and mother. When times were tough, Angela went back to work to supplement the income. Angela did what had to be done to survive, provide for, and support the family.

Angela was an inspiration to her children. Angela instilled in her children that college was always a given. All of her children graduated from college because of her, again working hard to supplement financially when she could.Throughout their lives, Angela continued to encourage her children in all their endeavors; constantly uplifting them through her positive and energetic style.

Angela was stunningly beautiful not only on the outside, but also in the inside. Angela had a magnanimous and loving manner and people that met her, loved her.She had an unstoppable energy and a mindset that couldn't be changed because God created her with a determination and purpose in life, love, family and friends. She made friends effortlessly wherever she went and lived. She insisted on feeding everyone with her macaroni and sauce and making sure no one left hungry all the while standing the entire time and serving with LOVE!

"Mom and Dad had a beautiful life and a beautiful family but they also experienced troubled and hard times, much loss, separation, reunion which led to love again. As a family, we experienced life in its fullest; always with Mom and Dad at the helm. We learned how to survive, love, give, and persevere.Through their example and love, we have learned to live with the tribulations and joys in this life which will prepare us for the next eternal life with the Lord!"
