Obituary

Angelina Montagna, born April 29, 1927, died ofnatural causes on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her residence in Lake Forest, California. Angelina was lovinglyknown as Ann to her family and friends, Grandma Annie to her grandchildren and GG Annie to her great-grandchildren. Born to Rose and Pasquale Coviello , in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had 4 siblings.

She is survived by her two children, Maryann and Thomas, five grandchildren, Sari, Greg, Marisa, Jennifer and David, and eight great-grandchildren.

She graduated from James Madison High School in 1945. Annie had a wonderful fashion sense and worked in retail for many years .
She also worked as a teacher's aide at a Montessori School - getting to hold and cuddle little children - something she did so well when her grandchildren arrived.

She married Charles Montagna on October 24, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y. , where they raised their family until they moved to Mission Viejo, California in 1978, to be close to their daughter and first grandchild.
She was an avid movie buff, and a huge Frank Sinatra fan.Ann loved a good poker game and knew how to play her cards. She enjoyed crocheting and the finished works were on displaythroughout the house

Her greatest joy was the time spent with her grandchildren - sleepovers, Easter egg hunts in her front yard, Christmas eve Italian dinners, playing cards, going to all the sporting events and sharing stories about living in Brooklyn. She was wonderfullyloyal to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
