Obituary Anita L. Riedel
Anita Louise Riedel (Ingala) passed to her heavenly reward in her sleep on July 31, 2019.Anita was 76 and suffered from alzheimer's and dementia for the last 18 months.A resident of Laguna Woods, she died while in the CapoBeach Care Center where she was being treated. Anita was born on September 6, 1942 in Chicago.Her parents were Frank Ingala and Anna Ingala (Mancini).She is survived by her husband Jim and her three children Anne, Pam and Joe and her six grandchildren Sarah, Austin, Dylan, Kylie, Samantha, Danielle her brother Angelo and sister Leslie and her great granddaughter Ember.
Anita went to Lindbloom High school and Wilson Junior College where she met her husband Jim.Known as Iggy to her husband Jim she lived a rich and fun life.She married Jim Riedel in 1964 in Chicago and they were married for 55 years.1n 1968 they moved to California and lived in a variety of cities in Orange County (Seal Beach, San Clemente and Ramona).She worked at Southwest Regional Labs, Trainex and finally at Yamaha in their Music Division spending 15 years at Yamaha as Executive Secretary and Coordinator of Bi-annual sales conventions such as the Consumer Products Convention in Las Vegas.
Anita and Jim retired at 55 and spent the next 20 years enjoying retirement visiting 42 states in their RV and taking three cruises.She also really loved enjoyed golfing and helping with the grandchildren.Anita was a friend to all who crossed her path and always had time to console or encourage and help.She had great nurturing abilities and always helped people stay positive and stay in the present.She journaled most every day about the God she so loved and relied upon for her strength and who eventually called her to his arms.
Anita always wanted to be active with her many friends.She was an avid and very good line dancer and helped Jim learn the two step and west coast swing.She had her horse, "Easy" for many years who she rode so well and loved.An avid reader Anita could consume 3 books a month while working and being housewife.She played the guitar most days and would sing to her young kids which inspired them all to play.As I write this her daughter and granddaughter are playingguitars in the other room.Sounds great!The kids call her a "great mom".
Her most loved thing was golfing.She loved going out any chance to play and her most favorite course was #3 in Laguna Woods. She and Jim spent many vacations golfing.She was on the "away" team while in Ramona and has played most all the golf courses on Maui.
Anita was a treasure and she will be missed by all who met her and loved her!
