Anne Hieu Pham was born in 1927 in Vietnam. She gave birth to her first daughter in 1945, the final year of World War II. Anne worked in the rice fields and a housewife living in the countryside. She would walk 30 miles carrying her young daughter to visit her husband at the military post. In 1954, Anne and her family moved to South Vietnam to get away from the communist government of the north. After much time and luck Anne was able to reconnect with her some in Orange County, California. Anne, unselfishly, sacrificed her life for her family and her children.
She always had a smile on her face and very generous with other whenever they needed help, even though she did not have much herself. Even at the end of her life she could remember and understand who each child and grandchild were and their unique characteristics. She made it a habit to do the sign of the cross before every meal and even when she took her medication. During the Covid-19 lockdown, she would attend Daily Mass that was online, reading the bible, books, and magazines. She lived a simple and humble life, praying with a rosery whenever she could.
Anne Hieu Pham passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2021, at 00:02 pm Pacific Time. Anne will be remembered for being a very loving, generous, and self-sacrificing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
