Obituary
Anthony V. Sisca III ("Tony") was born on August 16, 1948 in White Plains, New York and passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 30, 2015 in Mission Viejo, CA with his family and friends around him. Tony was larger than life with a big Italian personality and a huge heart.
Tony was born on August 16, 1948 in White Plains, New York to Dr. Anthony and Margaret Sisca. He had one sister, Helen, who pre-deceased him. Tony graduated high school from New York Military Academy in West Point, NY, where he played Lacrosse. He then attended Boston University in Massachusetts. During his childhood, he enjoyed his summer home in Copeck, New York, where he and his cousin, Charlie, roamed the woods and worked on cars.
In his younger years, Tony worked for Gimbels Department Store in Manhattan and then worked in the furniture business, which brought him to California in 1980. In the early 80's he started his true career in the residential mortgage banking business. Tony was with Mission Hills Mortgage from December, 1985 until their sale to Banc of California (Banc Home Loans) in 2012. With Banc Home Loans he was the Regional Vice President for the Pacific Southwest, covering the real estate community overall and continuing his treasured relationship with Tarbell, Realtors and the Tarbell family.
Tony married Kris Sisca on June 27, 1997. It was evident that they were the love of each other's lives and they did absolutely everything together. He is also survived by his daughters Susan Szabo-Hill and her husband Dale, Laura Szabo, Jaimee Cano and her husband Andrew, his grandchildren Natalie Hill, Spring, Brooke and Skye Cano, his cousin Charlie Gasperino and his wife Dawn, and his niece and nephew, Tara and Michael Sisca from Florida. He is also survived by a legion of friends and colleagues who benefitted from his mentoring and love.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Irvine Marriott Hotel, 18000 Von Karman Avenue, Irvine, CA 92612. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Tony's name to:
