Our beloved precious Audrey passed peacefully into the arms of Christ on Monday, March 26th. She was 82 years young and born in San Diego, Ca. She had a very full life with too many friends to count and a family who cherished her as their best friend.
Audrey was married for 65 years to the love of her life, Gene. She was an accomplished pianist and was playing at a USO dance when they first met... It was love at first sight.
She followed in his footsteps and became a sales representative. She was nervous, but met the challenge face on, and her customers, like everyone who knew her, loved and trusted her. For 50 years she was her husband's assistant, partner, putting him 2nd after God and then her children, grandchildren, and great -grand child. Her heart was so big, she made everyone feel important and spent a lifetime of service; of being present.
Audrey loved bridge with her girlfriends and so much more. They were so fun together. She had a smile and a laugh that was truly infectious. With Gene, she traveled all over the world, had a time share in Cabo San Lucas and a vacation home in Palm Springs which served as a special relaxing haven for her, friends, and family. Audrey loved her cats, her books, and music. Oh what pleasure she received. Precious Audrey was a philanthropist and gave to many charitable organizations.
Dear sweet Audrey is survived by her husband Gene, son Ed, daughter Sheree, daughter Karen and son-in-law Dan, sister Ann, grandchildren, Derek, Tamara, Alec, Brandon, Danika, and Ben and her great-grandchild Jonathon.
People may say this frequently, but Audrey Jeanne Bartlett was an Angel. She worshiped with Chuck Smith from Calvary Chapel and Charles Stanley. She loved deeply and was surrounded by love from everyone who knew or met her.The hole in our hearts is big; she will be missed immensely. We know she is with her Mom and Dad, Harold and Grace and so many more, smiling down at us. We celebrate her life like no other.
