Barbara Perrella (90) of Laguna Niguel, CA passed peacefully in her sleep in Lake Forest, CA on March 24, 2025. She previously lived in Winnetka, IL from 1969 to 1990, Glenview, Ill from 1960-69 and Chicago, IL. Barbara was preceded in death by Her husband Ronald Perrella in 2015, her sisters Dorothy Jaszcowski, Katherine Berens, Brothers James and Thomas Kruempelstaedter.
In Barbara's younger years she was an active sewer, crocheted, knitter, wall paperer, upholsterer and wonderful cook. Barbara loved to camp and spent many summers camping with her 5 children. Barbara was active in her Laguna Niguel community in senior services, police services and St Timothy Catholic church. She was a Eucharistic minister at St Timothy as well. She was presented with awards from the city for over 1000 volunteer hours. Barbara loved to travel and spent many years traveling the world. Her only regret was never traveling to Australia. Her favorite pastime in her last years was watching her many hummingbirds.
Barbara leaves behind her sister Rosemarie Reynolds, children Theresa Cape (Steve), Michael Perrella (Debra), Regina Berman (Robert), Anthony Perrella, Thomas Perrella. Grandchildren Chadd Cape, Shaun Cape (Cara), Russell Berman (Brittany), Nicole Perrella, Jake Perrella, Symone Perrella, and Great Grandchildren Kolten, Jamieson, and Dominic Cape. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held May 27, 2025 at 10am at St Timothy Catholic Church. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the American Heart Association , Diabetes Association , Cancer Association , or Lung Association .
