Barbara Jean Saks, born November 3, 1929, Los Angeles, CA, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Mission Viejo, CA. Barbara moved to Orange County nearly 15 years ago after the passing of her husband Sheldon and to be closer to her daughters.

Born to Clifford and Vessa Stephenson, Barbara had no siblings.She was born in Los Angeles, lived briefly in Independence, California then moved to Ventura, CA where she spent the majority of her life. Barbara met her husband Sheldon while living in Ventura and they married in September 1959.Following their marriage they moved to Oxnard, CA and lived there until Sheldon's death in December 2002.

Barbara graduated from Ventura High School where she was valedictorian.She spent most of her life as a homemaker, devoted wife and mother.Barbara enjoyed horseback riding in her early years and competed in barrel racing rodeo competitions.In her later years, Barbara enjoyed cooking, gardening, and pool exercise classes.

Barbara is survived by her daughters,Beverly Saks of Redondo Beach and Diane Trimbur of Lake Forest; grandson, Cole Trimbur, of Lake Forest;son-in-law John Trimbur of Lake Forest and niece Nancy Saks Recasner of Studio City.
