Ben Lochtenbergh, a loving family man and Computer Systems Analyst passed away in his home in Irvine, California with his caring family by his side on October 29 2022 at the age of 83.

Ben, born April 26 1939 in the Netherlands a few months before World War II began, had a full life. He grew up in North Amsterdam, studied electronics in the school (Luchtmacht Electronische School), served as a radio mechanic in the Dutch Air Force (Konninglijke Luchtmacht Commando Luchtvaartopleidingen) and was a Customer Engineer in the Data Processing Division for International Business Machines (IBM) in the Netherlands. In the early 1960's in his early 20's, Ben moved to the center of data processing in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States where he deepened and applied his love for Computer Systems Analysis and raised his 2 children in a land of opportunity. In the San Francisco Bay Area, he worked with business check-processing systems on IBM mainframes, as an Engineer/Systems Analyst at Lockheed and Wells Fargo. Ben, being an early adopter and initial peripheral innovator applied his data processing knowledge and contributed to IBM's systems hubs which included card read-punch, high-speed printer, and disk or magnetic tape storage which is what made the International Business Machines (IBM) an Icon of Progress a legacy for the worlds' businesses.

Honesty and integrity were of Ben's greatest traits. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend to those who felt the warmth and grace of his heart, soul and truth in being the best man he could be on earth in his time. Ben is honored and revered by his loving wife Sally, loving children, his son Derik, daughter Denise, and Derik's wife Andria and two loving grandchildren Jared and Natasha.

Ben, a magnificent man, is loved deeply and honored greatly for his life, influence and care for his family, friends and work. We're grateful for his life's gifts, and his memory is a grace for many.
