Berkley Ann Holman, born February 18, 2009 at Hoag Hospital, became our little angle on January 12, 2014 at the age of 4. She unexpectedly and suddenly passed away from an infection while sleeping.
Berkley was a beautiful, bright and active child who loved her family, and was loved by all. Her sister, best friend, and playmate Addie always put a smile on her face. Berkley loved her real dog Frances, but it was her little pink doggie that was her constant companion. As a true little princess, she adored tiaras, tutus, princess dresses and anything that sparkled. Also a true fashionista, Berkley adored shoes – especially her mom's – and would change her outfits multiple times a day, including putting on her PJs at any hour.
Berkley enjoyed playing in her princess tent, coloring rainbows and butterflies, playing at the park, and anything sweet to eat. Always the entertainer, she loved her gymnastics and dance classes, singing, and putting on shows for her parents. She attended the Anneliese School at Willowbrook and was excited about going into Kindergarten next year.
Berkley is survived by her loving parents, David and Michele Holman of Aliso Viejo; sister Addison Marie Holman; paternal grandparents Alan and Candace Holman; maternal grandparents Jack and Patricia Noragon; aunts Melinda VanKirk (Jeff) and Tracy Duffey (Spencer); and cousins Katherine and Fletcher Duffey.
Berkley is now an Angel that will stay with her family and watch over her sister forever.
A public service will be held at Saint Marks Presbyterian Church at 10 AM Saturday, January 18, 2014. The officiant is Pastor Don Kutz.
