Beverly Gail Bradford, age 66, passed away peacefully at the Hospital in Santa Ana on Saturday, July 5, 2014 after a long fight to recover from surgery back in June 2013. She is Predeceased by half sister Marie Marles and brother in law Bill Marles. She is survived by her close friends and past co-workers who shared in her wonderful love for life and her exciting adventures.
Beverly was raised in Pasadena before relocating to Huntington Beach and marrying James Bradford. She was married to Jim for 25 years. They spent many holidays and long weekends doing what they loved together – boating and camping. Since Jim was in construction, they were both always enjoying and working on home projects together.
She attended and graduated from Temple City High School in 1965. She had many creative talents. She has worked as a graphics and web designer, sales for the LA Times and the OC Register, and many years at LSI Aerospace as an Executive Assistant. She always brought smiles to people's faces with her unique, one of a kind beautiful gift wrapping. During the Christmas holidays she would love to gather her friends together, sit at her piano, play and sing holiday classics.
Beverly had a huge love for all pets and animals. She rescued many cats and dogs that she took into her heart and home to love. She would have adopted every animal she saw if she could. In her honor, any donation towards your favorite pet adoption agency or shelter would be appreciated.
She also had many loves such as sports (golf and pool in particular), music, attending plays and watching good old movies. Her competitive edge was easily seen easily in any sport whether she had a golf club, ping pong paddle or pool stick in hand. She was a force to be reckoned with.
Beverly was such a strong spirit, a force of nature with a lot of wit and humor. She will be so missed.
Though she never really walked a spiritual path, she opened her heart towards the Lord as her health struggles continued and got harder in her final days. In John 14:1-4 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."
There will be no service held. Her ashes will be scattered at sea by McCormick & Son Mortuaries. Please sign her guest page at www.McCormickandson.com
