Bixia “Claire” Si, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Irvine on March 4, 2026, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with illness.
Claire was born on September 29, 1989, in Zhuji to her loving parents, Zejun Si and Hanxiang Wu. She was their cherished and only daughter.
Claire met her husband, Kan Fu, while attending college in Hangzhou. During that time, she shared the gospel with him, a moment that would shape their lives and begin a lifelong journey of faith together.
She later earned a Master of Management degree from Zhejiang University, where she actively served in the Land of Promise Fellowship, devoting herself to Christian fellowship and ministry among students.
After marrying Kan, Claire moved with him to the United States and continued her academic journey. She earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
Following graduation, Claire joined Amazon, where she worked as a software engineer and later became a manager. Over eight years, she demonstrated excellence, dedication, and leadership in her work.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Claire was deeply committed to her faith and church community. She faithfully served in Christian fellowship throughout her life and was actively involved at United Chinese Christian Church of Irvine and Berean Community Church, where she built meaningful friendships and encouraged many with her warmth and sincerity.
Claire was known for her kindness, joy, courage, and gentle spirit. She loved her family deeply and cherished genuine friendship. Throughout her illness, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage and steadfast faith, never wavering in her trust in the Lord. She loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained faithful to Him until the very end of her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Kan Fu, and their six-year-old son, Asher; her parents, Zejun Si and Hanxiang Wu; and her husband’s parents, all of whom remain deeply grateful for the life she lived and the love she shared.
Though her time with us was far too short, Claire’s faith, love, and kindness will continue to bear fruit in the lives she touched.
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”
