Brandon Martin Esquivias, a Logistics Coordinator and a lifelong resident of Inglewood California, tragically passed on September 17, 2021 at the age of 27.
Brandon is survived by his parents Elpidio and Maria Martin, Grandfather Matias Martin, Grandparents Brijidio Esquivias and Feliza Aguirre, Sisters Sonia and Yadira, and his loving Nieces and Nephews.
Brandon was born on 15 of May 1994 in Torrance Ca. Brandon was raised in Inglewood, where he lived for most of his life. Brandon also lived in Merced while attending college. While growing up Brandon was known to be full of life, love and kindness. Brandon was able to join any social group and immediately bring light and happiness to the group. He was, as he described himself, "a social butterfly". Brandon was an avid sports fan and loved his Dodgers, Lakers, Chivas, SF 49ers and LAFC.
Growing up, Brandon used school as a sports sanctuary. There he excelled in Baseball where he helped his alma mater, Animo Leadership Lennox, win a division title. He continued his studies at UC Merced, becoming the first in our family to leave home, not for marriage or economic opportunities, but in search of academic attainment. At UC Merced he played baseball and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. Brandon graduated UC Merced in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and proceeded to work for Echo Logistics.
Throughout his life Brandon was a light one could use to get out of whatever darkness we found ourselves in. He enjoyed every minute he could spend with family and was known amongst his friends to pass up on some of the best parties they would see in order to attend as many family gatherings as possible. Brandon enjoyed joking around with family, even if those "unfortunate jokes" were at his expense. The more insulting the joke, the better the comeback.
Even with the latest tragedy, the passing of his Beloved brother Osvaldo, he decided to join his cousins in their weekly golfing in order to be around his "Brothers" during the pandemic. Golfing became his way of taking back that time that was being stolen by the pandemic, a way for him to be together but still safely apart. He spoke of growing old and playing together during our retirement, of all the new courses he wanted to try, and the trips that he would take in search of new grass to go tear up.
Come one last time to celebrate with Brandon on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00 pm- 10:00 pm. at McCormick & Son. The address is 25002 Moulton Parkway Laguna Hills, Ca. 92637
