Brenda Rowan PhD
Brenda Joyce Rowan of Indian Wells passed away peacefully of Alzheimer's complications November 16th 2014 in an assisted care facility in La Quinta, Ca. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Donald Rowan and her son David Rowan, her grandson Ben Rowan of Laguna Beach.
Brenda was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 26, 1940. She graduated from Long Beach State College with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree and received her PhD in Psychology from USIU in San Diego, Ca. She moved to the Coachella Valley in 1974 and was in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist. In addition she was a Psychologist for the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center and the Betty Ford Center. She also taught psychology at College of the Desert.
A funeral for family members will be held in Laguna Beach, Saturday November 22nd in Laguna Beach. And by her request, her ashes will be spread across the ocean
