Bret Aiken, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, friend and entrepreneur, and athlete, passed away on January 30, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Brea, California, at the age of 66, following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer and Amalydosis. Born on March 7, 1959, in Costa Mesa, California, to Wayne and Nancy Aiken, Bret was the eldest of four siblings and lived a life marked by passion, determination, and love. Bret's athletic prowess shone brightly from an early age. A proud graduate of Tewinkle Elementary and Estancia High School in Costa Mesa, he went on to distinguish himself at Goldenwest Community for his remarkable achievements in sports.

An innovative and driven entrepreneur, Bret founded Rainbow 80's with his beloved wife Marie by his side, a business that thrived on their shared vision and partnership. Later he co-founded DSS Helmet Glide and Diamond Seal Micromed with his brother James, ventures that showcased his ingenuity and work ethic. Later, These endeavors reflected Bret's creativity, perseverance, and ability to build something lasting, both in business and in life.

Bret's greatest joy was his 40-year marriage to Marie, his rock and partner through every triumph and challenge. Their bond was a testament to love, resilience, and mutual support. He is survived by a family who will forever cherish his memory; his wife, Marie of 40yrs, his siblings Stuart, Jon, and James, nieces, nephews and their children along with countless friends and colleagues, touched by his warmth and generosity. Bret also shared a special bond with his three dogs, Mikey, Willow, and Obie, whom he adored with all his heart. His deep love for them was a beautiful reflection of his caring and gentle nature, bringing joy to their home and showcasing the tenderness he carried within.

Bret Aiken's life was one of impact and inspiration—a story of an athlete who excelled, an entrepreneur who innovated, and a man who loved deeply. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Bret's life will be held at McCormick and Sons Mortuary, 1795 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, on March 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Bret are welcome to join in honoring his remarkable journey
