Obituary

Carol Lynn Fedele, born in Plainfield NJ, passed peacefully on August 28, 2024

under hospice care at Providence Hospital, Mission Viejo. A resident of Capistrano Beach. She was 75 years old. Carol moved to California in 1974 after graduating from Trinity College in Texas with a degree in education and briefly taught kindergarten in LA. After starting two entrepreneurial businesses, she has resided in Capistrano Beach since the 1990's.

Born to Louis and Hazel Toll, her siblings, brother Bob Toll sister and Dolores Rogders (passed). Niece Brenda Stone and Rickie Rogders (passed), great nieces/nephews  Laynee and Ross Elgart and Stacey Brum. The Elgart's and Brum's nieces and nephews are Zachary, Max, Brianna, Colby, Jake and Shye.

Carol is survived by Sister-in-law Grace Maurillo, Brother-in-law Richard Fedele (passed), and niece Megan Maurillo. She was a step-mom to Matthew Fedele, Rebecca Hoerl and Joy Fedele-Forsyth. Her grandchildren include Jessica, Josh and Josiah Fedele-Forysth. ( Matthew Fedele's wife Andrea, Rebecca Hoerl's husband Roger and Joy Fedele-Forsyth's husband Scott.)

She started her own business in the 1970's, manufacturing bread dough jewelry. The name of her company was The Great American Stocking Company. She designed the jewelry and had a factory in LA for manufacturing. Carol excelled at everything she did. After selling the jewelry business she became an independent rep for women's clothing and accessories. Having abundant energy she taught aerobics. Her class members loved her classes and her future husband was a class survivor. (No one could keep up with her.) Following her rep business she tried to retire but instead started a dog sitting service. It is here where a customer saw how loving Carol was to their dog they gave her "the love of her dog life", Sunny (2).

Carol's childhood memories, which were dear to her, was ice skating in Cedar Brooks Park in Plainfield. Playing baseball with her brother Bob and the boys. Playing pool in the basement. The family moved to Miami in 1963 where she attended high school.

Carol was the consummate animal lover. She always had a dog: Happy, Molly, Tippy, Sunny 1, Sunny 2, Daisy. And a bird named Kiwi.  Her favorite flowers were sunflowers and daisies. Her house is painted yellow.  Carol's earliest moniker from high school was "happy". Later in life she became "great auntie loves".

She loved nature and would make a yearly pilgrimage to Big Bear and Julian. A thousand mile motorcycle ride was OK, but she did not like landings in planes. Beach and neighborhood dog walks were among her favorite pastimes.

She befriended Karen Hendricks in middle school. Friends since the 1980's are Diane and John Gerrard, Collette and Ron Bukow and Kathleen and Jeff Wachtel. Her neighborhood friends Brad, Tim and Jane, Bryan and Aura, Frank, Gwen,Linda and John, Mary Ellen, Ray and Dana, Hilda and Mark, Cynthia and Reed, Sue Ann and Russ, Bryon and Aura and Maureen.

Carol was a very loving, kind, compassionate soul. A poem that best represents her life is the "Desideraga" (Go Placidly), author unknown.
