IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Caroline Chu
Lee
January 30, 1937 – December 15, 2024
Caroline C. Lee, born on January 30th, 1937, in Shanghai, China, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her nursing home in Laguna Woods, California. Caroline shared nearly 60 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, David C. Lee.
In 1948, during the Chinese Civil War, Caroline moved with her parents and family to Taiwan, where she met the love of her life, David. In 1963, she immigrated to the United States, where she married David, pursued her education, and raised a family.
Throughout her life, Caroline wore many hats. She worked as a teacher, a print shop owner, and a real estate agent. However, her true calling and joy came from serving the Lord. While living in San Diego, California, she faithfully dedicated herself to the Church in San Diego, hosting home Bible study meetings and cooking for love feasts for decades. Her home was always open to welcome saints, international students, and gospel friends, reflecting her generous and loving spirit.
Caroline is survived by her devoted husband, David, her sons Raymond and Christopher, her daughters-in-law Mina and Peggy, and her cherished grandchildren Oliven, Ethan, and Ryan Lee.
Caroline's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in reading Scripture, learning from the lives of notable figures, and preparing meals for church gatherings. Her greatest pleasures came from traveling with David on gospel missions to spread Christianity worldwide, creating memories with her children, and, most of all, doting on her grandchildren.
Her love for her family knew no bounds. Caroline particularly treasured her time with her eldest grandchild, Oliven Lee, often babysitting, coloring, reading, and playing together. She also enjoyed gardening, growing fresh fruits and vegetables, knitting, and sharing quiet, precious moments with her family.
Caroline will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and boundless hospitality. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the faith she lived out so beautifully.
A graveside service for Caroline will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601.
