Obituary
Carolyn (Bramble) Kausrud,93 formerly of Kalamazoo, MI peacefully passed away on March 7, 2016 in Mission Viejo California.
She was born in Kalamazoo MI. where she lived though the Great Depression,World War II and many other amazing events. She met and married her college sweetheart Dickman Kausrud in 1944, they were happily married for 60 years. Carolyn was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School, attended Kalamazoo College and received her Master's degree from WMU in the early 1960's.She worked as counselor and teacher for Battle Creek Public schools until retirement in 1984 and then relocated to Southern California. For many years she spent 9 months in California and 3 months on Beaver Island in Michigan where she enjoyed long walks,bird-watching,reading and yoga.
Preceded in death by her husband Dickman C Kausrud in 2005. Surviving are two children, Marcia (Bob) Meyer, and Eric (Theresa) Kausrud and four grandchildren, Derek Meyer, Rob Meyer, Jason (Kristen) Kausrud, and Christin Kausrud.
As per her request there will be no visitation or funeral.
