Ana Cecilia Martinez, known affectionately as Cecilia, Ceci, Mami, Chinita, Lita, Lalita and Gordita to her loved ones, gracefully departed this world on March 16, 2024, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on June 18, 1933, in Bogota, Colombia, Ana Cecilia's life was a testament to love, faith, and unwavering generosity.

Cecilia radiated beauty, both inside and out. While her physical presence captivated those around her, it was her inner beauty that truly defined her. Devoted to her faith, Cecilia's life was a testament to her deep love for God. She found solace and joy in her relationship with Jesus Christ, dedicating her days to prayer and service in her beloved church.

Her devotion extended beyond her spiritual life to her family, whom she loved unconditionally. Cecilia prayed fervently for each family member, shouldering their burdens and celebrating their joys as her own. Her love for her siblings was inexhaustible and she cherished the memories of their adventures together.

Cecilia's generosity knew no bounds. Despite any challenges she faced, she always found a way to give of herself to others. She was a woman of strong principles who instilled values of etiquette, politeness, and dignity in her family. She encouraged them to strive for their best selves, always leading by example with her own grace and kindness.

Cecilia's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her love, wisdom, and generosity continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit remains a guiding light for her family and friends.

Cecilia is survived by her adoring family – daughter Martha Augustyn (Michael), son George Martinez (Cheryl), grandchildren James Sublette (Channon), Danielle Martinez, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends who will forever cherish her memory.

As we bid farewell to Ana Cecilia Martinez, we take comfort in knowing that she now rests in the loving embrace of her Savior, Jesus Christ, free from pain and surrounded by eternal love.
