It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Michael Ferdon Bennett, age 84, of Laguna Woods, California, on April 3, 2025.

Charles's loving spirit is carried on by his wife of 56 years, Kathy; their children, Michelle Bennett (Allen Forrest), Kim Rossillo (James) and Nicole Bennett; grandchildren, Olivia Rossillo and Dominick Rossillo; sisters Susan Janssen, Kristy DeCleene (Don), Dorothy McCluskey (Michael), Mary Helen Novak, Margaret Durante (Steve) and brother William Bennett (Dorothy). He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. Preceding him in peace were his parents, William and Mary Bennett.

Charles was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois and enjoyed many adventurous summers in Silver Lake, Wisconsin swimming, water skiing and fishing. Following four years of service in the United States Air Force, he graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1966 and from Ferris State College of Pharmacy with honors in 1973. At Southern Illinois University, he met Kathy and they married in 1968.

Beyond his distinguished career as a pharmacist in healthcare, Charles was an avid sportsman, with a passion for marathons and triathlons. After moving to California in 1989, he developed a love for the restoration of antique cars. In recent years, he enjoyed golf, traveling the world, playing cards, and reading. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.

To celebrate his life, a service will be held at his request for immediate family and spouses at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:15 a.m.
