Obituary

Charles Edward Burns (Chucky) passed away at the age of 35, born January 8, 1987 in Key West FL. He Passed peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, November 22nd 2022 in his Huntington beach home. Charles was a loving husband, son and brother. Charles and Merryl had a very loving and adventurous marriage, They were true soulmates. Mako their beloved dog was their baby and Mako was at Chuck's side at his time of death. Born to Michael and Kathleen Burns and one sibling, Charlotte Burns, who all reside in Key West Florida.

He had a very close relationship with his mother and father, Not a day would go by without chuck letting them know in some way that he loved and cared for them. Chuck and Charlotte's love was always there for each other in times of need.

Chuck lived fearlessly! He was wild and adventurous in so many ways. He was the sweetest, most genuine and respectful person. Always willing to help anyone. During his early life Chuck enjoyed spending time on the water, going out to the sandbars, camping, boating, lobstering and spearfishing. Just being out in the ocean brought him pure joy. As a child he had a go cart and that led to his enjoyment of fast cars.

Throughout his childhood he had many different type of pets such as a, salamander, turtles, bunnies, guinea pigs and always had a dog by his side. His childhood dog, Shadow he cared deeply for. Chuck has a very small circle of friends and his best friend for life being James Flowers, They were born 1 day apart in the same hospital and from that time on they were inseparable. Chuck was a server at Mangoes in his hometown of Key West Fl and that is where he met Merryl.

After months of dating they traveled to different places and did enjoy outdoor adventures, hiking, boating, and getting certified for diving. After a year of dating Chuck proposed on a mountaintop 10,000 ft high in the smoky mountains of Tennessee. They got married after months of being engaged on a beautiful beach in Lido Key with Mako as the ring bearer.

After their marriage they relocated to Huntington Beach, California and set up a beautiful home and life. Chuck worked as an entrepreneur in Ebay. They continued traveling and enjoying the outdoor life in the mountains of California through many hikes with Mako. Chuck is full of positivity, love, kindness, sweetness and so much energy. He will be missed dearly.
