Charles"Red" Cannan passed away of natural causes on Thursday, 1/28/2021. He was born in 1934 in Bartlesville, OK and has been a resident of San Juan Capistrano since 1968. Red is predeceased by his brother, Ray and survived by his wife, Jo Cannan, daughter, Kathy Cannan, granddaughters Katie Schaefer and Jennifer Vargas, sister Karen Warhurst, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Bella. Red served in the Navy during the Korean War and continued on to be a commercial hard hat diver working on the Alaskan Pipeline.As an offshore marine contractor, he provided shoring for the San Clemente, Santa Monica and Ventura piers, tested an underwater habitat for Rockwell Internationaland undertook the maintenance of the Queen Mary below the waterline. He was the owner of Cannan-Bart and Red Cannan Engineering in Capistrano Beach. Red was the master of all trades and enjoyed many hobbies including flying, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time on his boat, The Crazy lady
