Cornelia Jean Cassidy was born November 5, 1922 in Warren, Ohio.She was the youngest of her family, her parents were Andrew Francis Steele and Mary Cornelia Sullivan Steele. All of her siblings preceded her in death, Arthur (Art), Eleanor (Nell), Harold (Had), Wilbur (Bill), Katherine (Kelly) and Mary Agnes. She married Charles W. Cassidy on October 6, 1951 in St. Mary's, Warren Ohio.She is survived by her four children; Mary, Kathryn, Frank (Brenda) and Charlie (Barbara), four grandchildren Patrick (Colleen), Taylor,Kevin (Allison) and Charlie. And two great grandchildren Rowan and Wyatt. She was a dental assistant prior to her marriage.She was a devoted wife and mother.She died peacefully in her home in Mission Viejo, California on October 2, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.A long time resident of Mission Viejo, a founding parishioner of St. Kilian's Catholic Church, she worked the local election polls for many years. She will be fondly remembered as a great neighbor, kind friend and loving mother.Rosary at McCormick and Son Mortuary in Laguna Hills at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 10.Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 11 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Mission Viejo at 10:30am.Internment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Warren, OH.
