Daniel C Enriquez was born on January 13, 1950 and he passed away on February 23, 2017, at the young age of 67. He survived by his children, Andy, Lena, Delia, Mark and Erica. Along by his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Andy is his first born son and friend he could confide in.
Lena was his chosen daughter "teno" that was the first to be married.
Delia was the apple in his eye "daddy's girl."
Mark his son was by his side since birth and gave him a beautiful granddaughter.
Erica his daughter was the last child but not the least. She lit his world up and he held her dear.
Daniel was born in Mexicali Mexico and raised in the city of Orange by his parents Francisco and Antonia Enriquez. Daniel's mother Antonia was his heart and he would call her nightly to sing her songs. He loved his mother the way every mother wishes for.
Daniel and his former wife Lydia remained together after 45 years. Their relationship was tested with every season but in the end they always gravitated back together.
Daniel worked for over 30 years in the Cement Masons Union – Local 500.He was considered a pioneer of his industry and was proud of the work he did. He started his career at an entry level position in his teenage years and through hard work and dedication he retired as a Formerman, in which he perfected the art of finishing concrete. His leadership and encouragement paved a road of careers for his sons, brothers, newphews, and grand children. His legacy in the union will be remember for years to come by all who viewed him as the perfect role model. He was a friend to all and an enemy of none.
Daniel was a strong, supportive and caring father whose primary focus was to provide for his family. His Love for his grandchildren and great grand children was undescribable. He was a protector to those he loved. His smile would light up a room and his laugh was contagious. His sense of humor and funny sayings like "remember the tacos" will live on. Daniel has the ability to comfort and give meaningful advice. Daniel was a role model to be kind to each other and never wanted to see anyone struggle. There is none like him and he will be truly missed.
