David Oakes, 84, late of Lake Forest, CA, formerly of Dolton and Chicago, IL,passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from pulmonary disease, anddied surrounded by his loving family.He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Oakes, with whom he recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary; his son, David Oakes, Jr., and daughters, Deborah Weinschenk and Laura Halawa. Proud grandpa of Kari, Christopher, Jonathon, Danielle, Alyssa, Tory, Lexi, Michael, Joey and Sadie, and 6 great grandchildren.

David was a truck driver with Jewel Grocery Store in IL and Ralphs Grocery Store in CA until his retirement.

Dave's wishes wereto be cremated.There will be a private family viewing at McCormick & Son Mortuaries, Laguna Hills, CA, on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
