Deanna Kaye Morss Bates passed away peacefully at her home March 1, 2021. She was 73. She was born June 22, 1947,in Riverton, Wyoming to Ralph And Bernice Morss. She was raised and went to school in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1966. She went to Greeley Colorado where she earned her Master's Degree in psychologyat the University of Northern Colorado in 1976. After graduation she worked as a domestic violence counselor in Washington. While attending a National Federation of the Blind convention,she met John. They were married June 4, 1981. They both worked for the Internal Revenue Service until they retired in 2005.
Deanna and John had a wonderful marriage. They loved to travel and see new places, experience new things, and sample food from other regions. They were members of the Federation of the Blind and went to the annual convention every year until ill health prevented traveling. Deanna was a very kind hearted, generous person and helped many friends and family members during difficult times. Deanna liked to write, and she published a book during her retirement years.
Deanna was proceeded in death by John, her beloved husband, and one brother Dennis Morss. She is survived by one brother Robert Morss and his wife Dorc, and one sister Cheryl Smith and many nieces and nephews.
