Obituary

Derald Wayne Gregg
November 4, 1925 – January 29, 2021
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend

Derald Gregg is frequently described as a kind and gentle man whose love for God and his family were evident everyday. His strong faith and relationship with Jesus Christ influenced every aspect of his life and was perhaps most evident in his devotion to his wife, Mary Ann, to whom he was married for 71 years. He was a true servant of his Lord and was an example of Jesus' love to those who knew him. His creative nature fueled an avid interest in music (including songwriting on ukulele and organ), cartooning, and reading. He was also known for his humor and quick wit.

He was a humble man of high integrity who lived a good long life, and we are grateful that we had him with us for so many years. We're also thankful that he was happy and healthy down to the very last second this life.

And although we rejoice in the knowledge that the mortal has taken on immortality, saying goodbye (even for a relatively short period) is difficult. He is greatly missed and has left a void in the lives of the many who loved him.

So, although we must say farewell for now, in the same breath, we celebrate a life well lived and a journey well travelled—and we are comforted by the blessed hope that we will be with him again.
