Donna Haggerty, born May 5, 1963, of Victorville, CA passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2023. Born in Jersey City, NJ to parents Donald and Geraldine Haggerty, Donna was raised in Jersey City until 1979 when her mother, siblings, and she relocated to San Bernardino, CA. In California, Donna graduated from San Gorgonio High School and enjoyed spending time with her friends and attending concerts, especially Rod Stewart concerts.

Donna is survived by her daughter and only child, Hunter Castro, son-in-law, Daniel, and grand puppy, Barley. Her sister Sharon Lyons, brother-in-law, Kenny, and niece, Isabella, and her brother Brian Haggerty and sister-in-law Linnea. While Donna is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Gerladine Haggerty, she is survived by Charlotte Haggerty, Donna's step-mother whom Donald married in 2001.

Professionally, Donna was a Communications Dispatcher for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department where she recently retired in mid-July 2023 after 34 hard years of serving the High Desert community. While Donna was exceptional at her job, her most infamous claim to fame was a 1992 bank robbery in which she dispatched dual pursuit in opposite directions. The incident earned her an Outstanding Performance award from the California Public-Safety Radio Association and a spot on Rescue 911.

In her personal time, Donna loved to travel and created many great memories doing so with her family and friends. Most notable was the river cruise in Europe that Donna raved about to everyone since the trip ended in July 2022. Donna's favorite thing to do was travel and explore as much as she could outside of the High Desert. Some of her favorite travels included her first time traveling solo on a bus tour in Canada, road trips to Utah and Northern California, a special mothers vacation to Costa Rica, and girls-trips to the Hamptons and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Donna's favorite place was the California Central Coast where Donna, Hunter, and Barley spent their last trip together in Cambria, CA to celebrate Donna's retirement and Hunter's 30th Birthday in July of 2023.

The Jones Family are graciously hosting a Celebration of Life honoring Donna Haggerty at their home at 12267 Malahini Place in Victorville, CA from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 7th.
