Dorothy Ann Blevins entered the arms of our Heavenly Father Thursday evening, June 15, 2017 at 6:43 p.m. in Mission Viejo, California.
Dorothy was born On February 4, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ann Klinkie and Dudley Muldrow. She had one brother who preceded her in death.
Dorothy's moral and spiritual foundation was laid in her parents' home and the Catholic Church.
She fell in love with and married Calvin Winfred Blevins on October 18, 1942. After Calvin's service years he, Dorothy and their three children settled in Chino, California in 1949. Dorothy thrived in the Chino community. She was politically active, dedicated to her work with the school board and involved in many social groups. She and Calvin were avid square dancers and members of the Calico Rompers. They even performedwith the group in Lake Havasu City, Arizona under the London Bridge. Dorothy had many hobbies and becamethe honorary social director in most of the communities where she resided. She was a woman who lived life to the fullest; whether that was her family, work, social traditions, or beloved games of chance. She always filled the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run. She worked as General Manager of Antimite Termite and Pest Control for seventeen years after the passing of her husband who had run the company business for twenty five years. Most would say, however, that Dorothy spent her days as the company "prankster"; her water gun antics were legendary. Dorothy made Lake Havasu her permanent residence in 1999. Declining health brought her back to Southern Californina November of 2010.
She leaves to rejoice her having passed this way her two daughters; Jacqueline Fowler and Winifred Blevins both of Long Beach, California and one son Lee Blevins of Laguna Beach, California;one son-in-law, John Fowler of Long Beach, California; one daughter-in-law, Shirleen Blevins of Laguna Beach, California; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She also leaves other loving relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
Lovingly,
The Family
