Dorothy (Dottie) R. Flock, Age 86 of La Mirada, died November 12, 2022 as a result of complications from Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Dorothy was a beloved matriarch, survived by sister Madeline M. Ringley, daughters Patricia Thompson (John), Susan Lampe (Phil), Kathleen Flock, Cynthia Flock and Mary Flock; 7 grandchildren (Andrew, Kelsey, Ben, Nick, Charlie, Analisa and Dash); numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband and soulmate Thomas F. Flock (d. 1994).

Dorothy grew up in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Francis Agnew Ringley and Mary Madeline Baine Ringley, attending St. Scholastica Academy and Mundelein College, transferring to Marquette University where she met and fell in love with Tom. She married in 1960, moving with her husband to Whittier, CA where she lived for almost 60 years.

Dorothy was a devoted mother and wife, keeping her busy household well fed by packing lunches before dawn and cooking dinner nightly. She never missed sending a card for birthdays and other special events. We were reminded by her frequently how fortunate she felt to have such loving and devoted daughters. Dorothy was an active parishioner at St. Bruno Catholic Church for many years.
