Obituary

Edgar John Pidgeon passed on September 12,2014 in Mission Viejo. He had suffered from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases for several years.

Edgar was born in Chard, England to Edgar and Ethel Pidgeon, the youngest of three children. Edgar was apprenticed as a draftsman at Denings Agricultural Machinery. After serving two years in the Royal Artillery he moved to the city lights of Cardiff where he was employed in engineering at BSA Tools. In Cardiff he met his future wife Beryl Penn. They married in 1957 and shortly after (with the help of brother Gerald and wife June) they emigrated to Orange County, California.

Edgar worked in the plastics industry for many years and in 1969 Edgar, Beryl and daughter, Lesley moved to Mission Viejo.

Lesley married Dale Svenson and they have one daughter, Alexandra.

Edgar was an avid golfer and loved soccer.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beryl, daughter Lesley, her husband Dale and granddaughter Alexandra.

A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27 at St. George's Episcopal Church, Laguna Hills at 10:30a.m.
