Dong Khiem Tran, a devout Roman Catholic, of San Juan Capistrano, California, passed away peacefully December 26, 2014 in his home from pancreatic cancer at the age of seventy seven.

Dong was born in Vinh Long, Viet Nam the youngest of nine children born to father Khiem Giao Tran and mother Le Thi Chuyen. He is survived by Chi Kim Hong his wife of forty-eight years and his daughter and son-in-law Christine and Kenneth Tram. He is also the proud grand-father of four beautiful grandchildren; Jennifer, Justin, Michael, and Michelle Tram.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and was a Professional Civil Engineer working at Public Works of Orange County, California for over thirty years.

Dong was quite a world traveler, extensively visiting all five continents!
