Obituary

Eileen E. Garnreiter was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the eldest of four children born to Charles and Elizabeth McInerney in 1930.
She married Joseph Garnreiter in 1959 and together they moved to Southern California.Joe worked for United Airlines and Eileen was a nurse's aide in various hospitals in the South Bay area.
Her six sons have blessed her with 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, spread throughout the country.
As many of you know, Eileen's favorite color was purple and she adored elephants of every color, shape and size.
She passed on May 6, 2020 from complications of a broken hip and a severe infection.Eileen will be buried along-side Joe at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, California on Friday, May 15, 2020.Because of the "virus" only 10 mourners will be allowed at the gravesite ceremony.The Family planning a Celebration of life and 90th birthday party in her honor later this summer when travel restrictions are lifted.
