Eleanor LaMalfa, 90, formerly from Schenectady, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 14, 2016 in Aliso Viejo, CA after a short illness.

Eleanor was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Mastro. She was married to Stephen LaMalfa in 1957 until his passing in 2006.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen of Brea, CA and Mark (Joannes Boman) of Laguna Niguel, CA, her sister Marlene Paccico of Schenectady and brothers Arthur and Ronald Mastro of California, sister- in-law Virginia LaMalfa and predeceased by her brother Armond Mastro of Schenectady. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

After graduating Mont Pleasant high school in 1944, she went to work at General Electric in Schenectady for 14 years. After raising her sons, she went back to work at Agway until she retired in 1988.

She lived in Schenectady most of her life until 2014 when she moved to Laguna Niguel, CA to be closer to her sons.

Eleanor enjoyed being with her friends and family and bowled until she moved to California. She resided at the Autumn Meadows assisted living facility in Laguna Niguel where she enjoyed doing her word finds, word scrambles and reading. She will be remembered for her pleasant personality and great sense of humor.

There will be a memorial on November 5th at noon, at the McCormick and Son Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
