IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth
Kutyba
January 1, 1949 – June 12, 2022
Elizabeth "Elzbieta" Kutyba, born January 1, 1949 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in her Irvine home. Elizabeth was born and raised in Poland by her mother, Stanislawa and her father, Jerzy. In her 20's, she enrolled in medical school in Poland where she focused all her time. She graduated and later went on to work at a hospital in Hrubieszow, Poland where she worked for 12 years. In 1985, she met the love of her life, John Kutyba, through mutual friends in Poland. John was also from Poland and living in the United States at the time and Elizabeth was living in Poland. He had a son, Fabryce Kutyba, and in 1986, Elizabeth immigrated to the U.S. to be with John and Fabryce. In 1987, they got married in Jersey City, New Jersey. Elizabeth considered Fabryce her "biological son" from the day she met him, and raised him till this day.
In 1990, Elizabeth and John gave birth to Jacqueline Kutyba in Jersey City, New Jersey. In the fall of 1991, Fabryce, John, Elizabeth and Jacqueline all moved to Southern California where they lived in the city of Orange. In July of 1997, John Kutyba passed away abruptly from a heart attack. After John's passing, Elizabeth went back to work at Chapman Medical Center for over 10 years where she tended to patients on the medical surgical floor.
In June of 2005, Elizabeth met Peter Dalecki who became her other half for the next 17 years. Peter, also from Poland, fit in perfectly in the Kutyba family. Peter and Elizabeth lived together until the time of her passing with their dog, Enzo.
Elizabeth appreciated helping others, whether it was walking their dog, cleaning their house, or even making them a homemade meal. She was selfless, and always put others needs before her own; even throughout her 13-year metastatic breast cancer battle. She was a devoted Catholic, and went to church every Sunday. Church was her happy place and where she felt most at peace. Elizabeth was a homebody, and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, doing crossword puzzles, and walking her dog Enzo. Most of all, her pride and joy were her two children. She loved them deeply and never missed an opportunity to talk about their success.
Elizabeth is survived by her two children, Fabryce Kutyba (married to Jana Kutyba), and Jacqueline Roberts (married to Trent Roberts), her brother Jacek and family of Warsaw, Poland, her brother Tomasz and family of Wrocław, Poland, her sister Maria and family of Hrubieszow, Poland, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kutyba, and her parents.
