Young, Emanuel born October 22, 1936 passed away May 18, 2013 at the age of 76. He died peacefully. Emanuel goes to join his siblings Sue, Esther and Stanley, his brother-in-law Willy and best friend of over 50 years Ivory. He is survived by his children, Traci and Terri, he was known as Hampa to his grandchildren Kristopher, Krystal, Danielle and Dylan. He also leaves his partner of 25 years, Theoris, his sister Carolyn, brother-in-law James and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

Emanuel was born in Pasadena, CA the third of five children of Emanuel and Aldina. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Emanuel could build anything - we all have something in our homes that he built or fixed. He loved watching any sports on television. He also became a fan of court TV shows. He loved his fish - Oscars and Red Devils were his favorite variety. He would begin every morning reading the newspaper and then would go to the grocery store looking around for deals, just looking no buying. He would often return to the same grocery store in the afternoon to make a purchase.

He never ended a conversation without saying "thanks for calling".
