Ernest "Jack" Simpson Jr. passed peacefully at his home in Laguna Woods, California on Sunday, December 17, 2023. His death was preceded by his beloved wife, Mary Jacqueline Thirkill (d: May 5, 2009) 2nd wife Marjorie Adkins (d: September 22, 2018) and life partner Annabelle Isky (d: June 18, 2023) Sister Becky Ann Barnes Caulk (d: May 13, 2020) and his daughter Kathleen Diane Schnabel (d: February 20, 2005).

Jack, (Navy Veteran) was charming and full of life until the day he passed. Jack was Jack. He said whatever he felt at any time, no holding back. You always knew where you stood or at least how he felt about the subjects of discussion. Jack loved his ladies and his ladies will forever love and miss him (wives, daughters, granddaughters, great grand-daughters, girlfriends, new lady friends). He loved his family and family dinners and celebrations. He loved dancing with his gals, music and good films and shared his love with whoever would listen. He spent an evening dancing with his great-grandchildren to some of his favorite songs just days before he passed away.

Jack is survived by two daughters, Laural Ann Traylor (husband Larry) and Dawn Lynn Mays (husband Marv) and stepdaughter Sharon Wilson (husband Jeff)and stepson Robert Adkins (wife Katie); Brother Phil Brickler (wife Jeannie), and Sisters Susy Strange and Charlene Kitzmiller. He was a grandfather to Alyssa Rae Quealy, Ariana Mays, Aaron Michael Rowe, Ashley Marie Westover and Austin Matthew Westover; step-granddaughters, Kathleen Goldstein and Rebecca Traylor, Amy Sheridan and April Linsmeyer and step-grandson, Layne Wilson (wife Allie).  He was Great Grandfather to Teresa Rae, Brielle Addison and Everly Ann Quealy, (step great granddaughter Ayla Wilson).
