Fern M. Pinkerton passed away peacefully in Laguna Niguel, CA on March 17, 2018 of natural causes.
Moving to Ventura following her marriage to John Pinkerton, she called Ventura her "home" for over 65-years.
Fern took great joy in being a homemaker and mother to her five children. She was involved in her church, PTA, Campfire Girls and volunteer work. She had many hobbies including: sewing; entertaining family and friends; fishing; card and board games; family vacations and travel.
Later in life, Fern worked in the administrative department at Ventura Community College, where she made many new and diverse friends.
Fern is survived by her four children: Holly; Beth; Karen and John, along with their spouses, nine grandchildren and two great grand children. Her husband John Pinkerton, daughter Susan Alsup and grandson Carey Hirneise predecease her.
A private memorial service and scattering of ashes will be at a later date.
