Florence Adao Nuñez
October 1, 1950 – May 16, 2025
Florence Adao Nunez was born October 1, 1950 in Manila, Philippines and was welcomed into heaven on May 16, 2025. She was the eldest child to Pedro and Patriotica Adao and a big sister to her siblings, Patricia and Miriam.
Florence married the love of her life, Claro Madrid Nuñez Jr. They met during her medical residency in Manila and shared 46 years of marriage together. In the Philippines, she earned her medical degree as a doctor in obstetrics. In seeking a better life, she and Claro moved to the United States to raise a family. They enjoyed a life full of love and laughter and together raised three beautiful children, Claro Patrick, John Carlo, and Maria Carla, and later welcomed three grandchildren.
Florence was full of joy, welcomed all, and was a second mom to many. She loved to feed people, especially her pancit and sinigang. She infused kindness and faith into her family and would do anything and everything for her children and her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, and especially her little dog, Chemo.
After caring for her husband with cancer for three years, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. She fought courageously so that she could continue to be there for her family. After a difficult two year battle she went to rest in the arms of God peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Florence is survived by her loving husband, Claro Nuñez Jr, children, Claro Patrick Nuñez, John Carlo Nuñez (daughter-in-law Diem-Han Nunez and grandson Cristian Noah), Maria Carla Nuñez (son-in-law Ben Han and granddaughters Dylan and Zoe). She also leaves behind her siblings, Patricia Claudio and Miriam Joaquin.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
