Frank Raymond Tamayo, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 25, 2019.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his daughter Debbie and her husband Guido, his son Frank, his granddaughter Destinee and her husband Brian. Frank is also survived by four brothers, Jesse, Tony, Manuel, and Joe Tamayo, and one sister, Mary Young.He was also blessed with numerous nieces & nephews, and countless friends and business associates.
Frank grew up in Joliet, IL and then made California his forever home after meeting Diane, the love of his life, while stationed in CA with the Navy. He served in the United States Navy from 1959 -1963 and he married Diane Ellen on July 11, 1964. They started their life together in Cerritos, CA and had 2 wonderful children, Deb & Frankie.
He and Diane started Laguna Muffler Service in Laguna Hills, CA and their family owned business served the community for over 40 years.
Frank enjoyed restoring cars (Hot Rods), being on the Colorado River, road trips with his family, reading, doing crossword puzzles and visiting the casino with his wife.
He was a gentle, loving man with a heart of gold and when he made friends, they were his friends for life.Frank NEVER missed a day at the shop until the day he passed.Frank will forever be a hero to everyone who knew him.
