Gleneva Jane Oelschlaeger passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Lake Forest, CA, at the age of 92. Jane, as she was known to her friends and family, was a native of Kansas. She was born to Edward Hilderbrand and Eva Behler Hilderbrand in Everest, KS on May 12, 1921. After graduation from Everest High School, she moved to Topeka, KS, where she met and married her husband of 62 years, Harold D. Oelschlaeger of Manhattan, KS. During their marriage, they resided in Plainville, KS and Topeka, where her husband passed away in 2010. After his passing, she moved to Southern California to be near family in the area.

Jane was known as a quiet, respectful, pleasant person to all. During her long marriage, she often engaged in church and social activities, but her greatest devotion was to her husband and two sons. She will be remembered like so many of the Greatest Generation as one who dedicated her life to the service of others.



Jane is survived by her only sibling, a sister, Helen Dussault, of Escondido, CA, her sons, Roger of Lake Forest, CA and Alan of Austin, TX, and four grandchildren. Interment will be with her husband, a veteran of WWII, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
