Obituary

Gayle Fialko Dumars, born September 8th, 1937 Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully and joined our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, December 9th, 2019 in Newport Beach, California. Born to George and Mildred, she had one sibling Judy Kennedy (deceased.) Gayle moved to California in 1958 where she later met her beloved Husband and Life Partner Dr. Kenneth Dumars. Gayle and Ken shared a blended family of eight children including David, Stephen, Peter, Janet, Leslie, Kathy (Kat,) Karyn and John Jr. (deceased.)
She worked for UCI Medical Center for over 25 years in the Pediatric Genetics Department. She is survived by her husband and children, 8 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren
After Gayle retired she had free time to play golf in the desert and create art through watercolor, multi-media, yarn cards, photography, jewelry making and gelli-print art – a new skill she perfected in her final year. Gayle made many new friends thru her "Etsy" websites. Many of her Etsy friends have expressed how kind and thoughtful she was, how beautiful and inspiring her artwork was and how they will miss her cheerful notes and calls of encouragement.
Gayle was a world traveler. She and Ken visited most of the major European cities such as London, Paris, Rome, Venice, Edenborough, Munich and many more. They even spent time in Moscow and St. Petersburg. On one occasion they bought a BMW at the factory in Germany, drove it all over Europe and then had it shipped home.
Gayle loved and was loved by her family, friends and neighbors. She loved animals and supported various charities for their well-being and preservation.
A celebration of Life will be held soon when all the family can gather together from across the country and Europe.
