Obituary

It is with deep sadness and great love that we announce the passing of George Sami Doumad, who entered eternal rest on March 29, 2026.

George was born in Tehran, Iran, on December 12, 1941, to Sami and Souad Doumad. He was raised alongside his loving siblings Emelin (predeceased), Odet, Helen, Angela, Yonida, and Tony.

George shared 57 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Narmnaz “Nazy” Shahbazian-Doumad (predeceased). He was a proud and devoted father to Michael, Barbara (predeceased), and Betty, and a cherished grandfather to Lycinda and Elizabeth. He was also blessed as a great-grandfather to Mason, Jacob, Khloe, Mikayel, and Aleksander.

A dedicated and hardworking man, George was a business owner and skilled mechanic whose passion for cars extended far beyond his profession. He took great pride in working with his hands, solving problems, and helping others. Above all, he was deeply committed to supporting his family. No matter the obstacles he faced, George continually found ways to persevere, adapt, and move forward. His determination, resourcefulness, and strong work ethic defined his life.

Outside of his work, George was known for his kind and generous heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and touched the lives of many with his compassion.

One of George’s most remarkable qualities was his extraordinary strength and resilience. Time and again, he faced serious health challenges that many believed he might not overcome, yet he continually defied the odds. His unwavering determination and fighting spirit inspired not only his loved ones but even the medical professionals who cared for him.

George approached life with positivity, faith, and an unyielding refusal to give up. He never accepted limitations and faced every challenge with courage and hope, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

George will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know and love him.
