Gerald Hector Dubois, known affectionately as Gerry, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Laguna hills CA at the of 77. Born on April 28, 1947, in Woonsocket, R.I., Gerry grew into a resilient and independent man, admired for his strength and determination. Despite being a double amputee paraplegic, he never allowed his physical challenges to hinder his zest for life or his ability to inspire those around him.

Gerry had a profound passion for mechanics and craftsmanship. He was often found working on his collection of vintage cars, including a 1954 Ford and two 1956 fords, or meticulously restoring old wind-upclocks, which were his favorite. His hands-on hobbies were a testament to his self-reliance and ingenuity.

A long-time member of Santiago de Compostela Church since 1979, Gerry's faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength and community. His commitment to his church was evident in his active participation and regular attendance.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 56 years, Vivian; his son Gerald Roger; his sister, Muriel Boivin; his brother, Bert Dubois; his grandchildren, Elana and Jacob Dubois, Clifton, Andrew and Marcus Black, his step granddaughter Megan Brown, and step great grandson Cavin Brown. His extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins will also hold his memory dear.

A memorial mass will be held at Saint Nicholas Church in Laguna Woods, California, with the interment to follow. The service will celebrate his life and legacy, reflecting the profound impact he had on those around him.
